Professor Seeram Ramakrishna, FREngFBSE is the Director of Center for Nanofibers & Nanotechnology at the National University of Singapore (NUS).  He is a full professor of NUS since 2003.  He mentored over 50 PhD students, and more than 100 post-doctoral and visiting scientists. He co-authored over 1,000 SCI journal papers and 8 books which attracted ~ 93,000 citations and 144 H-index.  He pioneered nanotechnology in Asia. He is regarded as the modern father of electrospinning.  He teaches Engineering Materials in Medicine. He is a Highly Cited Researcher in the world (Clarivate Analytics). Thomson Reuters recognized him among the World’s Most Influential Scientific Minds. He is among 500 scientists with H-index over 143 in the history of science and technology (http://www.webometrics.info/en/node/58). He received PhD from the University of Cambridge, UK.   He is a Fellow of UK Royal Academy of Engineering (FREng); International Union of Biomaterials Science and Engineering (FBSE); and American Institute for Medical & Biological Engineering (AIMBE).  He authored a book Medical Devices: Standards, Regulations and Practices. He is an editorial board member of NATURE Scientific Reports.
